Welcome to Central Kubota
We here at Central Kubota, want to welcome you to our website. 2011 marked our 50th year in the tractor business. Having begun in Cortez, Colorado as a young teen in the parts department of a John Deere dealership I gradually worked up to manager then on to buying the business in 1971.
In 1978 my family moved to Waxahachie, Texas and started a John Deere dealership in 1979 at this same location. We switched brands to Kubota in 1988 taking on a full line dealership with them.
We Stock and sell the Kubota and Landpride lines of equipment, which, after carrying most other brands over the years, we have proven to ourselves and our customers to be premium brands. (Kubota is the #1 brand of tractor thru the 100 HP range)
Included in our equipment line-up are agriculture, landscaping equipment, and utility vehicles both for home and ranch use, and large commercial applications.
Our goal is to have quality equipment & excellent service to meet your needs.
Along with our equipment line-up we strive to offer service that goes the extra mile when necessary to get you, our customer, back to work or play in a timely manner.
Over the years we have worked with large commercial companies developing special accessories to meet their rugged conditions, one of which is a special radiator system to enhance the air flow in extremely dusty or desert conditions. Another is an attractive trailer to double the carrying capacity of the utility vehicle.
Meeting the time-lines set forth by you, our customer, is of utmost importance to us and we respect those requests even if it means requiring overtime hours to get the equipment ready.
Come by, stop in and get to know us. We have been serving the Ellis County area as a family owned and operated business for the last 33 years. We'd be happy to meet you and talk about your equipment needs. If you're unable to come in due to distance we can handle everything by phone, fax, e-mail or web. We can and have shipped product around the world. At Central Kubota, "We understand what personal service is all about!".
"Your Crib or MIne" Switched at Birth
Wayne McEwen, owner and operator of Central Kubota, knew early on that he looked and behaved differently than the siblings he grew up with.
But at the time, he really didn't spend a lot of energy pondering over differences.
At the age of 19, Wayne understood the differences when he learned he had been switched at birth. The couple he knew as Mom and Dad were not his biological parents. DNA tests proved that Neil and Beth Christenson were Wayne's birth parents.
Taking the news in stride, Wayne returned to the hayfields to continue his work for the day.
Learning the truth really had no adverse affects on Wayne. In fact, he handled it in a nonchalant, calm manner. He's never once forgotten all that Mary did for him.
If not for her constant care, Wayne feels quite certain he wouldn't be alive today.
"I was born with a bad aorta valve in my heart," Wayne said. "If I hadn't gone home with the mom I did, I probably wouldn't be speaking to you now".
It wasn't until much later, at the age of 49, that Wayne met his biological family. The resemblance everyone saw was uncanny.
Learning about the circumstances around the birth that led to the switch has caused more concern for Wayne's wife, Lora, than they have for him. For her, it meant not only finding out all she could but writing about it. She was able to piece together a touching story of love - love lost and love found. The title, "Your Crib" or "Mine," puts a light spin on a story that could have easily been filled with heartache had the circumstances been different.
Your Crib or Mine Books are avaible at our office for purchase.
Where is God?
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.
The boy's mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.
The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and ask him sternly, "Where is God?"
The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"
The youngest brother gasped for breath and replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time dude. God is missing and they think WE did it!"

When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball point pens would not work in zero gravity.
To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater,on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

THE SOURCE OF WISDOM
We look for wisdom in many places, sometimes in all the wrong places. The Bible tells us in Daniel 2:20 that wisdom and power belong to God. If wisdom belongs to God, then we should go to Him if we need or desire to have more wisdom in our life. The next question might be, would He give me His wisdom if I ask Him?
The good news is that in James 1:5 the Bible tells us that God wants to give His wisdom to all who will ask. But the verse says we must ask in faith, nothing doubting. It calls on us to have complete trust in our Heavenly Father. The book of Proverbs informs us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, in fact Proverbs is full of the wisdom of God and tells us how to get that wisdom in our own lives. So let's do what the Word says and put our lives in his hands and believe that He gives us His wisdom freely. Let's let the One who knows all things guide us in every situation we find ourselves in. Join me in reading His Word and in a prayer of faith for wisdom.

Smile-it will lengthen your life
Years ago I read about a man that only had a few days left to live. Since there was nothing medical science could do to help him, he was told He could do anything He wanted to. He began to eat his favorite food and purchased and began to watch his favorite comedy films–I believe it was Buster Keaton films. He soon had his mind off his sickness and was laughing and laughing. Within about one month his symptoms were going away and He was soon completely healed.
Proverbs 17:22 says' "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
There are many scriptures that tell of the benefits of facing life with a cheerful heart. The Bible tells us that we are to have the full measure of Christ's joy in our life (John 17:13). God's Word never gives us instructions with out the means of performing them. Here we have instructions to be cheerful, and the best way to do that is to receive Jesus into our life and let His immense joy flow through our spirit man and into our earthly walk. There is no way we can be full of the joy of the Lord and go around in the mullygrubbs.
You might say, "But if you were faced with the things I am going through you wouldn't be cheerful either."
That is precisely why we need the joy of the Lord. It is a joy straight from heaven and it takes precedent over any discouraging thing that Satan can send our way. It will take effort to do this because it takes a decision to walk in joy instead of discouragement. However, what ever you have to do to put a smile on your face will be worth it.
Don't stay down. Wipe that frown from your face. You can do it. God believes in you. That is why Jesus died for you. Jesus has already done all the work. All we have to do is accept it by faith. Remember, faith comes from hearing and understanding the Word. So, let's get into the Word and spend much time there, and the full measure of Christ's joy will be ours.
